8 March Celebration in Afghanistan

8 March celebrate in Afghanistan every year since 2001 and it is also based on project and financial helping of international community and it was not changed to a cultural phenomenon in Afghanistan and some Mullah also preach opposite of 8 March celebration and call that it is a foreign phenomenon and opposite of Islam culture.

In March that high ranking officials in Kabul and other provinces of Afghanistan participate and just have symbolic role and all the people say some things about defend from rights of women in Afghanistan and do symbolic sympathy with sacrificed women and after 8 march no one do serious attention for getting better the situation of women.

Women who conduct 8 March celebration in Afghanistan have project behave and want just their advantages and do not play the main role for decreasing of violence against women.

8 March celebration is just for officials, correspondents, civil and women activists… in the center of provinces and other community members who have the main role on violence against women in the families have not access to 8 March celebrations.

The projects that the goals are decreasing of violence against women just attention on women and men who play the main role of violence against women are out of projects to decrease violence against women and because of the projects have not good results.

Violence is not only a families in everywhere like work environment, court, road, society, university, school and other places women face to many kinds of violence and there are especial law for the mentioned violence and legislative decree of elimination of violence against women does not implement in courts of Afghanistan.
