15th Anniversary of Destroying of Buddha in Bamyan

15 year ago Taliban destroyed the two Buddha of Bamyan by the name of Salsal which was with 53 meter altitude and Shamama with 35 meter altitude in the center of Bamyan with blasting.

The two destroyed Buddha were the highest and biggest Buddha in the world and have not constructed until now and just narrate the cruelty of Taliban and its supporters their empty places within mountains.

People of Bamyan just conduct anniversary for destroying of Buddha and denounce the action of Taliban to destroyed the unique statue of Buddha every year and conduct cultural sessions.

Destroyed statue of Buddha registered to UNESCO and UNESCO also made a cultural plan for Bamyan historic places.

Historic places of Bamyan is in danger of destroying because local government of Bamyan is not able to save them and historic places are not in one place and they are in different places that local government cannot employ soldier to save them.
