A Night with Buddha


Shahmam and Salsal are statues of Buddha, Salsal is 53 meter high and like a man that has built at 551 AD and Shahmama is 35 meter high and like a women that has built at 501 AD. Both of them are in Bamyan of Afghanistan.
Both of them were with colorful clothes and shining eyes.
Afghanistan Monarchs have destried them differently.
Taliban destried them completely at 11, March, 2001; 14 years ago.
After that civil and cultural activists conduct an adversary to symphaty with Buddhists this date every year by the name of A Night with Buddha.
This year also conducted A Night with Buddha in Bamyan that was dialogue, gathering, reading poem and burning candle.
Dialogue: 
Ismail Zaki the coordinator of Human Rights and Civil Society Network in central zone said Buddha statue are a human rights and accused government that do not attention for saving of landmarks. Ruhollah Frogh the head of Afghanistan Independant Human Rights Commission in Bamyn said all people known with their culture and our value culture is Budha statues and he want from government to attention seriously for saving of them. Reza Ibrahim the head of Bamyan Tourism Association said about role of Buddha statue for absorbing of tourists. Deputy of governor (Muhammad Asif Muballigh) accepted that there is no enough attention and he said Bamyan local government tries to saving landmarks. Kabir Dadras director of Cultural and Information Directorate said we try to save landmarks.
Gathering:
In the evening people came infront of Salsal with written slogans and go to Shahmama and burnt candle there and read poems.
